Advertised for sale on carsales.com.au 19 November 2022. Seller’s address is given as Broadbeach, Queensland. Seller’s description (summarised and paraphrased) follows:

Completed on 24th October 1969, chassis P1R42943BW was supplied to inventor William C Kennedy. Taken off the road during the late 1990s, spent almost twenty years in store with an Ohio-based restoration company.  Upon William’s death in 2019, it was sold and imported to Australia.  A Jaguar specialist, the vendor, claims to have spent the past three years refurbishing this car.

Further to the above comment. Asking price is now AUD$195,000. The seller states "this is only the second time the vehicle has ever been offered for sale............ All reasonable offers welcome".

    In addition to the above:

Finished in a rich Sable brown with complimentary Beige leather upholstery, we estimate that the work would have cost in the region of $150,000AUD had it been carried out by a ‘big name’ restorer. Indeed, the seller informs us that he dares not count-up the man hours which have gone into the project. As denoted by the rare VIN, BW for Borgs Warner designation, and P for power steering, it has been Factory fitted with air conditioning, twin SU carburetors, power steering, BW automatic transmission and original wire spoke wheels. Starting readily upon inspection and running very sweetly, this drop dead gorgeous E-Type is understandably described by the seller as being in ‘excellent’ condition with regard to its engine, gearbox, electrical equipment, interior trim, bodywork and paintwork. Offered for sale with authenticity certificate verifying its one of eighty-one ever produced and Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate verifying its matching numbers claim, and a large quantity of bills/receipts for work completed.

If you are in the market for a Jaguar E-Type Series 2 one of only a handful like it in the world then we would urge you to come and inspect this example before buying any another masterpiece. Completed on 24th October 1969, chassis P1R 42943 BW was supplied to billionaire inventor William C Kennedy who still holds the worldwide patent for inventing GPS Sat Nav ‘On Star”.

It was taken off the road during the late 1990s, the two-seater spent almost twenty years in store with an Ohio-based restoration company before upon William’s death in 2019, it has now being imported to Australia. A Jaguar specialist, the vendor, has spent the past three years painstakingly refurbishing the E-Type and tells us that the E-type not only retains its original engine and gearbox, but also all its original interior.
