Imported into the United Kingdom for the United States and registered WRP295H in October 2011. For sale at Motoriginals of Matlock for £59,950. Seller's description below.
www.motoriginals.com/listing/1970-jaguar-e-type-series-ii-coupe-fast-road/
1970 Jaguar E Type Series 2 4.2 litre coupe, prepared for track and competition use, as well as fast road use. This example was originally delivered to British Leyland in New York in 1970, then registered in Cromwell, Connecticut by its first owner. The car was later converted to fast road specification in 1970, including the addition of a Series 1 bonnet arrangement and Minilite style alloy wheels before its arrival in the UK in 2011.
In 2016 further works were completed by the Carriage Company including having the engine rebuilt with the addition of triple Weber carburettors, and a free flow manifold. Subsequent improvements include an alloy radiator, uprated cooling, Wilwood brakes, adjustable shock absorbers, foam filled tank, along with the necessary roll cage and Monaco ProCompetion seats complete with TRS harnesses.
This E Type was designed as a gentleman's racer and fast road car, and performs brilliantly as both. It has been consistently well maintained, with very occasional use over the years, both on track and road. It is complete with Jaguar Heritage certificate, along with all receipts and full description of works.
