This 1974 Jaguar E-Type is a Series III roadster that is powered by a numbers-matching 5.3-liter V12 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and it is finished in yellow over black upholstery. Equipment includes a black soft top and boot cover, chrome-finished 15″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, four Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, a rear luggage rack, air conditioning, and a retro-style head unit. The seller acquired the car in February 2018, and work in September 2021 is said to have included resealing the carburetor and replacement of an intake valve, spark plugs, and the battery. This Series III E-Type is offered in Arizona with removed parts, a tool kit, a BMIHT certificate, a JCNA concours scoring sheet, service records, and a classic-branded Montana title in the seller’s company name.

The car left the factory finished in Primrose Yellow and is said to have been refinished in 2012 under prior ownership. The factory black rubber bumperettes have been removed, and features include a black soft top and boot cover, V12 badging, a deck lid-mounted luggage rack, and central quad exhaust outlets.

Chrome-finished 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 205/70 Toyo white-stripe tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs that utilize inboard rear units.

The interior was originally ordered in Moss Green and has been re-trimmed in black upholstery. Features include high-back bucket seats, black carpets, air conditioning, a Kienzle analog clock, a Union Jack badge mounted on the glove compartment door, and a retro-style head unit. The seller states that the clock works intermittently.

The three-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and center stack-mounted auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer indicates 51k mile, approximately 2,500 miles of which have been added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.

The 5.3-liter V12 features four Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was factory rated at 241 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque. Aftermarket air cleaners have been fitted, and the seller states that work in September 2021 involved resealing the carburetors and replacement of an intake valve, spark plugs, and the battery.

Engine number stamping 7S12971LA matches the sequence indicated on the chassis plate and Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

The British Motoring Industry Heritage Trust certificate details factory colors, serial numbers, and an October 18, 1973 date of manufacturer.

Additional documentation includes service records and a Jaguar Club of North America concours score sheet from an October 2018 event.
