Ebay item 12/1/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1974-Jaguar-E-type-V12-65K-SOLD-NEW-BY-MSJ ...
Current bid $10,099.00 (Reserve not met), 7 bids, 8 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1974 Jaguar E-type V12. One-owner car sold new by ourselves 32 years ago! 65K original miles. Has just been subjected to a $30,000, engine-out, cosmetic restoration in our shop. All needed mechanical work also performed at that time. Stunning, low-mile, one-owner V-12 E-types are becoming more and more rare in the marketplace as time goes on. Don't miss this one!!

Car returns to ebay 1/30/15

Current bid $5,000 reserve not met 1 bid 6 days left in auction buy it now price $80,000. Car now said to be in Erie, Pennsylvania. 67k miles.

Sellers description:
The body is in a new condition. Wheels are original. The transmission, master cyclinder, and brakes have all been replaced. New stereo system was installed, but original equipment has been saved. Leather interior is all original and in great condition.
This Jag has been pampered and only driven on warm sunny days. This is the reason for the low original mileage. I have only had the engine worked on by a retired British/Leyland mechanic. He has made the car "purr" when running. I have a yearly PA State Inspection performed. It always passes. The body is straight and flawless. They could drive it right into their garage without having to change a thing. This car is also show-ready. I also have all records of any servicing performed since my ownership of 10 yrs.

I am interested in the history of this car in the Ebay item dated 12/105 can you please let me know the shop that did the work as I would like to contact them for what was done. On the second note is there a chance I can contact that person to get the history on the work done as it notes transmission was replaced i would like to know if it meant re-built.

Thanks,

Jim

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
