www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-CONVERTIBLE-/151965303855
Current bid US $65,200 reserve not met 3 bids 9 days left in auction, seller uap30789, 27k miles. Note; links provided on ebay did not open below discussed photos.

Sellers description:
This Jaguar E Type V12 offered here has some exceptional and unique original features quite possibly not matched by any other Jaguar Series III ,the documentation is unbelievable , this is a unrestored 100% original car from factory ,nothing has been added or replaced except for a show quality paint job ,every single piece of the body, chromed trim , moldings, rubber weatherstrip ,lightning including lenses , softtop ,hardtop, interior including seat covers ,carpet, dash ,door panels trim is original from factory, mechanically everything is still intact from factory, every component of the engine including even the british bolts, screws and nuts, Cheney and Oetiker clamps, hoses ,labels are factory original, all the other systems including brakes, suspension, steering, fuel system, electrical still retains the original components from the factory, .the important thing is that this Jaguar is not the "believe to be", in fact it is a real documented 27000 miles from new car, actually the car itself shows what really a low mileage XKE should look like .I really believe this car is a unmatched one owner, one of kind, concours ready Jaguar E Type V12.

The engine pictures album show a mostly cleaned and detailed engine compartment where everything is original from factory include the distributor cap and wires...the undercarriage including suspension is perfectly clean ...by the way the car runs like new...

1) The first pic shows the instrument cluster where you can see the actual mileage , the engine is running in perfect idle speed, note the transparence of the instruments(crystal clear).

2) The following several pictures show the unmatched documentation included with this car, this is the list :

2.1. Original Dealer Sales invoice from Main Auto Sales , one of the two only Jaguar dealers in New jersey at the time, the Invoice describe in detail the car model, stock#, VIN and engine number along with accessories and optional including the wheels and the rare hardtop. The buyer is Mr. Robert R. Ervey who the car was bought from.

2.2. The original pre order form filled up by handwriting showing the purchaser name , address, dates and details of the sales deal , the form is signed by Mr. Robert Ervey.

2.3. Every single registration from New jersey and Massachusetts since 1974 is included and show on the pictures , a close up pic of the first registration issued on 07/18/74 can be seen , Mr Ervey paid $567.50 tax and $18.00 registration fee ,by the way he was born in January, 08th 1938.

2.4. Every single service repair is included and dated with mileage ,one of the pictures shows a DMV inspection taken in 08/08/2003 the the car had 22264 miles and is showed on the inspection form.

2.5.A copy of the Title when the car was transfer from New Jersey to Massachusetts in 1993 the odometer showed 15000 miles at that time.

2.6. One of the pictures shows the original Owners manual inside the rare intact pouch ,the service booklet from British Leyland is included and the owners identification plate as well.

2.7. On top of the owners manual you will see two of the three sets of keys that came with the car , the third car key is showed on another picture installed from factory on the firewall of the car. The main key is on the original key chain supply by Jaguar in 1974 and sold as a accessory part# 9036, the spare key showed on the pic still has a small numbered sticker from factory ..

2.8. The Jaguar Heritage Certificate is included issued by Jaguar Heritage Archives certifying and describing every single identification number ,production date ,original colors of the body ,interior and top .

3. On the trunk you will see a display of the the original almost unused jack ,jack handle , hammer for the knockout wire wheels ( the hammer still have the manufacturer label on it), the jack pouch is in it and the optional super rare complete original tool kit ....

4. Many people like to show originality on the trunk satisfied only to have it partially complete , well this Jaguar has a pretty much intact trunk area the pictures show the original unused new Dunlop spare tire Made in England with the original wire wheel still covered with the yellowish protection coat from factory ( rarely seen before) ,besides a freight forward label from a historical company Seaboard World Airlines dated from 1974 is attached to the back of the tire.

5.Some other pictures show details of the trunk area including the untouched ,unchanged fuel filter(blue) located on the RH side .

6. The following pictures shows quite a few unique details , just to give you a general idea you will see the stamped VIN ,engine and transmission numbers in various locations of the car , also the stamped body number matching the Jaguar certificate , this number 4S7741 is located behind the riveted rear tag plate bracket , also you will see the original emission decal on the bonnet and the production sticker on the door jamb.

7. The details showed on these pictures are very important and praised by collectors and judges of the Jaguar clubs ,this car has a few things not even mentioned on the Jaguar judges books ,on the pictures you see several warning and part number labels ,also the car still have pretty much all the manufacturing dated metal rings installed by Jaguar , even on the original power steering hoses, the brake master cylinder and the booster have one also ,the vacuum lines are original and still have the yellow marked letters rings on it , if you look carefully you will see several color dots on the hoses(red) , carburetor and linkages(blue) ,they are the check marks made on the assembly line...

8. The carburetors still have the original brass identification plates on them( very hard to find) .

9. The battery hold down bolts still have the original wing nuts and the almost impossible to find original trackery washers ( a washer shaped like a spiral coil) between the wing nuts and the battery support.

10. I removed the interior door panels to show the intact plastic sheet protection ...

11. On the driver's door jamb there is a Jaguar dealer service label from main Auto Sales showing possibly the first oil change in 1977 with about 6000 miles .

12. Now it really gets even better , you see a picture shown a round white sticker on side of the bucket seats dated and signed on the assembly line by the interior technician who actually assembled this car interior in 1974. the car has three of those , two for the bucket seats and one possibly for the dash .by the way the seats still have parts of the original plastic protection trapped on the seat tracks.

13.I included a couple of pictures of the headlight and lamp assemblies to show the original condition , they were removed to paint the car.

This is arguably one of the most original well preserved documented low mileage Jaguar Series III Roadster V12 .

Car was at auction 7/19

Auction description:

Lot 339

1974 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 Roadster

Registration no. 84 WPG

Chassis no. UE1S24925

5 Jul 2019, 14:00 BST

Chichester, Goodwood

Sold for £ 67,083 (US$ 83,623) inc. premium

Finished in classic Regency Red, this desirable E-Type roadster is a very original example with only a facelift re-spray to freshen the paintwork; there is no rust, and many of the parts still have the factory's paint markings. Its original bill of sale shows that the car was sold new to Mr RR Ervey of Denville, New Jersey on the 19th July 1974 for $10,150.00 and came equipped with wire wheels, air conditioning, AM/FM radio, and a hardtop. The E-Type remained Mr Ervey's possession when he moved to Brewster, Massachusetts, and was regularly serviced until 2013. It was then owned for three years by a Mrs Denuzzo from Miami, Florida and was purchased by the current owner in 2016 (bill of sale on file). The car has been cared for by Royce Engineering since its return to the UK that same year.

The original manual and service booklets are included in the sale together with the still wrapped Leyland spare tyre in the boot, which was not originally included in the sale of the car because it 'appeared to reduce the usable trunk space'. A fine original example of the ultimate E-Type, the car is offered with a Massachusetts Certificate of Title, US Assignment of Title, sundry bills, current MoT, and a V5C Registration Certificate.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
