This 1974 Jaguar XKE Roadster is a Series III example finished in white over a dark blue interior. It was acquired by the current owner approximately five years ago and benefits from nearly $39k in mechanical and cosmetic servicing within the last few years. Power is supplied by a 5.3-liter OHC V12 paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox, and modifications include a set of slimmer chrome bumpers and an SU carburetor conversion. Work performed between 2013 and 2016 included a repaint in the factory color, as well as the installation of a new fuel pump, exhaust manifolds, Michelin radial tires, and more as outlined below. This XKE is being offered by a friend of the current owner with records dating back to 2013, removed factory parts, owner’s manual, a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, and clear New Jersey title.
The exterior was refinished between 2013 and 2014, and the seller indicates that few small dings in the paint and brightwork have accumulated since. As a 1974 US-market example, this car originally had large rubber bumperettes to meet 5-mph impact regulations. They have been replaced with a set of slimmer chrome units sourced from a 1972 XKE. The original bumperettes accompany the sale.
The blue canvas top is replacement item, and a matching boot cover is included with the sale. A set of wire wheels come fitted with Michelin radials, and a matching spare resides in the trunk.
The interior benefits from a new set of sun visors, and it is also equipped with a factory radio and air conditioning. During the most recent major service, the factory A/C system was addressed, though the seller indicates that it needs to be recharged each season. 32k miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer, approximately 1,600 of which were added by the seller.

1974 JAGUAR E-TYPE V12 SERIES III ROADSTER --White with Dark Blue leather interior, Blue carpeting, Blue cloth convertible top, 5.3 Liter V12 engine, 4-speed transmission, Factory air conditioning, Original factory radio, 31,000 Original miles, Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, Matching Numbers, Recent major service, Original factory books, tools, jack, spare wheel and tire and knockoff hammer. Although early history is unknown, this V12 Roadster it is believed to have had only three-owners from new. It’s current condition clearly shows the care and love it has received to date. It presents as one of the finest we have had throughout the years. This E-Type has always been well-taken care of, serviced and maintained regardless of use. Many late Series III E-Types were produced with the automatic transmission, this example is a factory original 4-speed manual as desired by most E-Type V12 enthusiasts. During its previous collector ownership, this E-Type enjoyed over $39,000 in mechanical and cosmetic servicing. Modifications included earlier type European chrome bumpers replacing the original USA-spec large rubber bumperettes, a superb bare metal repaint in original color, a new fuel pump, new exhaust manifolds, new tires, replacement clutch hydraulics and new cloth top with matching boot cover. Just recently, we have serviced the air conditioning and the carburetors. As the factory USA induction system utilized a setup of four Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, this V12 has been uprated with a new set of SU carburetors. This E-Type drives and sounds as good as it looks. Since the extensive service work, this V12 Roadster has been part of Tom Papadopoulos’ personal collection. It has been completely gone through and road tested by Autosport Designs, Inc. and is turn-key ready for its next owner to enjoy. This E-type is accompanied by all recent service receipts, owner’s manual, jack, original spare wheel, knock-off wheel tool and hammer as well as its Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate. As one of the last of the breed, this Series III E-Type presents in superb condition in all areas, cosmetically, mechanically and structurally. It will be sure to provide immediate enjoyment for its next custodian.
