Car listed as sold at:
www.jaguarjames.com/id47.html

Description:
1965 xke roadster. Very early 4.2. The 149th 4.2 made. About the first 200 4.2 cars did not have the 1E prefix in the chassis#. This chassis# is correct and is 10149. All numbers match. Car is so early it has the big square glass windshield washer bottle bracket found on the 3.8 cars. This can be seen on the firewall on the passenger side picture of the engine compartment. Runs and drives . Engine has excellent oil pressure. Good clutch. Needs brake master cylinder and gas tank cleaned. Needs sheet metal in bottom of the car. Very rare car. For the collector who wants one of the very first of the 4.2s.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
