Sellers description:
THIS TOTALLY RUST FREE E-TYPE CONVERTIBLE WAS IN PROCESS OF BEING RESTORED WHEN WE PURCHASED IT. IT HAD BEEN COMPLETELY DISMANTLED AND HAD NEW PAINT. THE CAR WAS TAKEN DIRECTLY TO JON'S JAGS IN TROY, IL. EVERY PART WAS CLEANED, INSPECTED AND PAINTED, REPLACED OR REPLATED AS NEEDED. THE ORIGINAL ENGINE WAS DISMANTLED AND REBUILT. THE ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION WAS INSPECTED. A NEW CLUTCH WAS INSTALLED. ALL HYDRAULICS RECEIVED ATTENTION AS THE CAR WAS REASSEMBLED. RUBBER GASKETS AND TRIM AS NEEDED. NEW BLACK LEATHER SEATS. NEW BLACK TOP. EVERYTHING FROM FRONT BUMPERS TO REAR BUMPERS REPAIRED OR REPLACED AS NEEDED, ALWAYS MINDFUL TO USE AS MANY OF THE ORIGINAL COMPONENTS AS POSSIBLE. THE CAR WAS THEN BROUGHT TO OUR SHOP WHERE IT WAS FINISHED OUT, TEST DRIVEN AND SORTED. EVERYTHING WORKS ON THIS CAR. THIS IS NOT A PEBBLE BEACH SHOW CAR BUT IS ABOUT AS NICE A CAR AS YOU CAN HAVE AND DRIVE. THE WORK WAS DONE WITH THIS IN MIND. TO HAVE A BEAUTIFULLY FINISHED AND DETAILED E-TYPE THAT COULD ACTUALLY BE DRIVEN AND USED BY THE NEW OWNER.

I bought this car in March of 2006. It is as nice as it looks in the pictures. Changed the cooling fan to CoolCat 10-blade type. Currently shows 74K miles.

I bought the car in march 2006. It is a very solid car- original engine, trans, and all body panels. Excellent driver.

I bought the car from Wilson Motors in Washington, MO, in March 2006. Drove 600 miles home with no problems. Excellent car.

I am replacing the driveshaft u-joints right now. I just had the manifolds Jet-coated in gloss black, and they look beautiful. I also converted the oil filter to the spin-on type, and changed over to synthetic oil. The car should be ready by the time the roads are dry here in Ohio..

Just adding a few pics of the car with redline tires on it. Never was too crazy about the whitewall tires it came with. In two pictures, the car is on my KwikLift. This device will raise the car 21 inches off the floor, allowing me to work on it with a creeper. Works well in a garage such as mine, which has an 8 ft ceiling.
