Current bid $3,300 reserve not met, 12 bids, 6 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1965 Series 1 XKE roadster that has been dry warehouse stored for about 15 years. I've finally decided to sell it and buy a done Series 2 XKE. The car is very solid and is not rusty. The floors, sills, rockers, trailing arm mounts, trunk floor, etc are all in good shape. You will not spend thousands of dollars repairing rust on this car. The car was partially dismantled in preparation for paint but I stopped there. The car is pretty much complete except for a radiator and fan assembly. The car was originally dark silver with a navy interior but it was painted a silver blue back in the early 80's. The existing paint is actually not too bad except for a small primered area by the right headlight and a scratch on the top of a rear fender. The seats are in good shape as is the dash cover. The suspension is all in place, it rolls nicely. The gearbox is in the car, the engine is out. The engine is NOT the original engine. it is a 1966 E Type engine that I purchased a few years ago as I didn't get an engine with the car when I purchased it. It turns over nicely but I have not heard it run. The seller assured me it ran fine when removed from his 66 for a lump conversion. The engine # is 7E1078 9. There are extra wire wheels and about 6 boxes of extra small parts that came from a 69 E Type that go with it. Some of the parts are interchangeable and some aren't but they all go. The seats, console, windshield, and dash cover are just placed in the car for the picutures, they are loose. This car is 4.2 liter car and the covered glass for the headlights is included.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
