Saw it for sale at the 2010 All British Field Meet in Bellevue, WA. Needing restoration but largely complete. Rumor has it sold for $20K, asking was $21K or so.

    1964 JAGUAR E-TYPE 4.2 CONVERTIBLE

    - Almost not driven since complete nut and bolt restoration
    - Most desirable Series with the superior performance of the 4.2 Litre Engine
    - Comes with a beautiful picture book which shows the entire restoration
    - Newly delivered in Iceland

This example of E-Type Series 1 is absolutely amazing. She was part of a collection in the Netherlands where we have been able to buy a variety of classic cars. The former owner was a Dutch gentleman who was very passionate about his restoration projects. During his life the gentlemen arranged and carried out a large number of restorations and this Jaguar E-type was his last project.

This specific car was completely nut and bolt restored. An impressive photo book is coming with the car which shows the impressive restoration of the Jaguar which took approximately 4 years.

This magnificent Roadster has been manufactured on the 15th of December 1964 and delivered to Iceland on the 7th of January 1965, this magnificent example is Chassis Number 1E 10382 and Engine Number 7E 2017-9 according to the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.

This early left-hand drive '4.2' was subsequently imported in the Netherland where the owner carried out a full nut and bolt restoration.
The car is finished in it's original exterior color which is Dark Blue with a beautiful Light Grey leather interior.
The convertible top is also in dark blue and this suits the Jaguar extremely well.

As an option we have a blue hardtop available.

    CONDITION EXTERIOR
The body of the Jaguar is in a very nice condition and is very straight.
Ilf one takes a careful look at the pictures one can see how well this car has been restored. The chrome and the doorfittings are perfect and also the correct lines inside the doors are still available and not taken away with plaster, which occurs very often.
The doorfittings are nice, probably not excellent but just as they should be on an E-type. Nowadays they are sometimes made nicer then they were when the E-type were new.

The chrome on the entire car is completely renewed and in an amazing condition. Also in re-chroming there is a lot of quality difference but the quality of the chrome on this car is absolutely amazing.
It has a brand new soft top.
The doors open and close crisply and solidly.
The bonnet closes perfectly as well.

    CONDITION INTERIOR
The interior is completely new and period correct with a high quality leather on the seats, correct and brand new carpets brand new looking with new, custom-tailored materials, including new seats, carpet, door panels, and dashboard covering.

    DRIVING EXPERIENCE
It is not strange that driving this icon is very special. Still now, the driving capabilities of this Jaguar E-type are very special. It is not a difficult car to drive but it needs good handling because of the power in the car.

The car has the very powerful 4.2-litre engine and is fitted with a more modern 5 speed gearbox which make the driving capabilities even more better.
The original gearbox is coming with the car.

The Jaguar runs and drives extremely well.
The engine starts easily and is well-tuned. It sounds great and is tractable and the engine is producing a very nice sound.

The smell of the new leather make the driving experience unique in today's world. Even before the ignition key is turned there is a huge amount of pleasure to be gained just by sitting and admiring the interior. This E-Type is an enjoyable car to drive and the very essence of a British sporting car.
