On eBay: 1965 Jaguar : E-Type Roadster Item number: 4586015576 David Ferguson restored 1965 Jaguar E-Type 4.2L roadster now available for sale. Renowned E-Type restorer David Ferguson of Campbell, California has completed his best Series 1 E-Type roadster to date. This is a fantastic car and excellent in every detail. It’s made for the collector who has been searching for the finest E-Type Roadster available in the world today. The first thing you notice about this car is the color. Finished in Opalescent Silver Gray metallic with red leather and offset with a beige canvas top. This car stands apart from other typical Series 1 E-Types. The paint glows with outstanding depth and highlights a perfectly straight body and bonnet. The red leather interior has been assembled with the highest quality materials and with accurate detail. The beige top is a stylish departure from the common black top. Wide whitewall tires surround brand new chrome spoke wheels to complete the look. On display, this car stands out, and has been a crowd favorite wherever it was shown. Every nut, bolt, washer and screw is correct and has been properly refinished. Every body panel has been expertly restored down to bare metal and refinished with multiple coats of Glasurit primer and urethane enamel paint. From every angle, the paint is as perfect under the car as it is on the top. No expense was spared to renew every component including a complete engine, transmission and suspension rebuild. Every painted component received exact factory color and finish to insure complete authenticity. Every aspect of this restoration down to the smallest detail is factory correct. *** VIN 1E10437 All Numbers Matching *** 1st Place 2004 Classics by the Sea Concours, Half Moon Bay, CA 1st Place 2005 Palo Alto Concours d'Elegance, Stanford, CA Over 400 photos document the entire restoration from start to finish. CD-ROM available upon request.

I owned this car from 1966 to 1969. The time I purchased it was black ext and red int. Love it drove it every morning to where I worked at 130 mph with no tickets, very early morning. As every one says it required constant work but it was a labor of love.
