Sellers description:
Very nice 4.2 liter series 1 XKE roadster which came from an estate in the Atlanta area. Prior owner had the car for over 27 years and was a member of the local Jaguar club.
Cosmetically this car is a very nice driver. Paint is very nice with good panel fit. Body is solid with no rust. Interior was redone years ago and still looks very good. Both seats show signs of when the soft top was taken down without first tilting the soft top. This unfortunately cuts the top rear edge of the seats. The cuts are not noticeable when the seats are in their normal position (please see photos). Soft top is in good condition. Chrome and wire wheels are very good. Engine starts right up and has plenty of power. Oil pressure is over 50 psi, which is excellent. Gauges, including the clock, are in working order. Undercarriage is straight and rust free.
This car drives extremely good! The suspension and steering feel tight and the quad Ansa exhaust makes wonderful music. Overall a sorted e-type in very good driver condition.
All numbers match and the color combination is original to this car. Black with red interior is an excellent color combination for an e-type, especially when its the original color combination it left the factory. The car comes with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate which authenticates the numbers and color combination.
Comes with clear title in my name, owner's manual, CD with parts and workshop manuals, spare tire, jack in the bag and Heritage Certificate.
