Current bid $11,100 reserve not met, 2 bids 6 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1966 Jaguar XKE Series 1 Roadster that is a good candidate for restoration. The car is in red with black interior and it comes with a black convertible top. It is a running and driving car with matching numbers. Car is all complete and appears to be in very original condition. The frame is straight and solid. There is rust on the floors and on the rear body panel as can be seen in the pictures. Interior is complete. Seats are original and the dashboard has the desirable “up-down” switches. Mechanics are in good condition. Engine is 4.2 liter and it starts easily and runs strong. Transmission is in working order. Car comes with a matching spare tire. Overall this is a nice original running and driving Jaguar XKE Series 1 Roadster to restore. Car has a clean US title.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
