Sellers description:
1966 Jaguar XK-E Type Roadster
A truly exquisite 1966 Jaguar XK-E Type I Convertible Roadster. It features a 4.2 L V6, 265 hp engine, 4-Speed Manual Floor Shift transmission and all in all is in beautiful condition.
In fact, very few of these roadsters I have seen are in as good of condition as this example. It is equipped with a 6 cylinder carburetored gasoline engine and a 4-Speed Standard Floor Shifter Transmission. The engine and transmission are both in very good original condition. The vehicle is in very good general condition. The entire body work and paint are in very good condition. The seats, interior and all upholstery are all in good condition. The carpeting and floor mats are all in good condition. The bumpers and all the chrome are in good condition. The windshield and all glass are in good condition. With the exception of being recently painted, a new leather interior and a new soft top she is in 100% original condition with all serial numbers matching.
There is some minor work needed to bring her back to show condition. There is a brake booster that needs replacement which has also caused undue stress on the steering wheel, which could also stand to be replaced. These do not effect the driving condition of the vehicle as she drives just as good as she looks.
This vehicle was purchased at a charity auction in 1998 and has been garage kept since that time. The car was donated to auction by Paul Newman who was its previous owner.
