Opening bid $1,000.00 (Reserve not met), no bids yet, buy it now price $78k. Rolling Meadows, Illinois

    Sellers description:

    1967 Jaguar XKE Roadster VIN#E12363

    * Beautiful Red exterior on black interior with black convertible top

    * Mileage: approximately 65,000 miles. Less than 6,000 miles since full restoration

    * Note: vehicle was purchased from Continental Auto Sports with 60,248 miles.

    * This XKE Convertible was fully restored and, while 38 years old, is virtually brand new. 1967 was the last year of covered headlights for Jaguar XKEs. Also,

this vehicle has a number of special factory options that make it a rare classic.

    * We purchased this classic from Continental Auto Sports in Hinsdale about 5 years ago, following full restoration, and their service department has given us a high level of confidence in the mechanical soundness of the Jag.

    * This car is a very smooth shifter, and runs exceptionally well. All gauges work like new. When traveling at around 30 mph with the top down and the accelerator is depressed, the sound is amazing. Sounds like a propeller plane taking off! The car, besides being a milestone classic, is an absolute pleasure to drive.

    Features include:

4.2 liter inline 6 cyl. engine

    4 speed manual transmission

    plexi-glass wind deflectors

    covered headlines

    chrome bar front grill

    chrome luggage rack on trunk

    digital electronic ignition

    on-dash push-button start

    lever-controlled manual choke on dash

tear drop shaped hood mirrors (rare factory option)

Chequered Flag International is pleased to offer this 1967 Jaguar Series I E-Type Roadster finished in Red with Black interior. 66,684 miles. Very clean and straight example with lovely body and excellent paint. The interior is in fantastic condition throughout. Clean seats with no abnormal wear, lovely dash and gauges (in working order), solid door panels, etc. The carpet has a few discolorations but nothing eye catching. The vinyl top is in good shape, as well. Mechanically, this Jaguar is very tight. Good power with excellent pull, good oil pressure, and no leaks. Most importantly, matching engine numbers. First California owner since 2005 stated that he bought it from the original owner. Inspections are welcomed. Please call 310/827.8665 or email us at sales@chequeredflag.com with any questions.
