Gearbox No. EJ 7648
Body No. 4E 4301
Desirable Series 1 example with 4.2-liter engine

Noted as a three-owner car; 60,000 documented miles

Upgraded with five-speed transmission; includes original four-speed unit
Excellent driver-quality example
This stunning E-Type is a later example from the initial series and is equipped with the uprated 4.2-liter engine, though retains the attractive covered headlamps. According to its Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, the Jaguar was originally finished in Carmen Red over a black interior and with a black top. It was completed on 8 March 1966 and then dispatched ten days later to Peter Lindner of Frankfurt, Germany. The E-Type is noted as only a three-owner car and has been driven approximately 60,000 documented miles since new. The current owner notes that the E-Type was refinished in its original Carmen Red by the previous owner about 10 years ago. It was then acquired by the current owner in the early 2010s, at which time it was subject to a mechanical restoration. Work included the valves, rings, rear end, and more, for which the records are available on file. Furthermore, the E-Type was fitted with a five-speed transmission for more comfortable highway touring, though the original four-speed unit is included with the car. At this time, the interior was also restored, along with the convertible top.
Since acquisition, the Jaguar has only been driven approximately 6,000 miles and is said to be in excellent mechanical condition. It would be ideally suitable for trouble-free long-distance touring as well as sunny Sunday drives.
