Car to be at auction 10/14
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php
Auction description:
Lot 257 - 1966 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 Roadster
Estimate: £70,000 - £90,000
Registration Number: GVU 478D
Chassis Number: 1E 13539
This stunning matching numbers 4.2 roadster rolled off the production line in September 1966, and was delivered new in November of that year to California as a correct Series One triple carburettor toggle switch car.
Repatriated back to European shores, 1E 13539 has had two owners in the last 12 years. Upon its return it was subject to a restoration, and is resplendent in its original cream with red interior and has covered very little mileage in this time.
Since
Most recently there has been a new mohair hood, the rear suspension has been rebuilt along with an uprated cooling system making it perfect for London driving. With further invoices since the restoration of over 25,000 GBP.
Worthy of the closest inspection, this well documented E-Type roadster is offered with sundry restoration invoices, current MoT/tax and Swansea V5C registration document.
