Auction description:
Monterey Sports & Classic Car Auction - Friday, August 18, 2006 - Saturday, August 19, 2006
1967 Jaguar Series I E-Type 4.2 Roadster
LOT: 423
ESTIMATE: $80,000 - $100,000
CHASSIS NO: 1E13806
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
AUCTION RESULTS: Lot was Sold at a price of $74,250

This example presented here is handsomely finished in red with a black leather interior and chrome wire wheels. The recipient of a professional, comprehensive restoration, the work was performed by marque specialists with many years of experience and it is clear that many hours were spent to achieve the overall correctness and wonderful fit found here.
In addition to the black soft top, this car also has a rare and desirable black painted removable hard top.

Additionally, the Jaguar retains its California black plates having spent most, if not all of its life on the west coast. The quality of this restoration of a Series I roadster with the larger 4.2 liter engine, makes this a very desirable E-Type that offers its next owner elegance, grace and open air motoring at its best.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
