Ebay item 1/6/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-Jaguar-XKE-Series-Roadster-/261151306875
Current bid $90,000 reserve not met, 1 bid 9 days left in auction. Cooper Classic Cars, New York
Sellers description:
This fully restored E type Roadster is being presented in its factory color of Beige with a Red interior. No expense was spared in the restoration of this roadster with OEM parts being used throughout; well over 1000 parts were replaced on this car. The bodywork was done using only lead and the Chrome has all been replated or replaced. The interior looks fantastic with Wilton wool carpets and the Black soft top functions as it should. All new lenses and lights were installed along with a new electrical harness.
The engine has been completely rebuilt and balanced with new pistons, bearings, valves, seats, and gaskets as well as the camshafts being re-ground with a slightly more aggressive grind. The transmission was completely overhauled along with the rear end.
Absolutely nothing was left untouched on this car, even the wheels were replaced with genuine Dunlop wires. The restoration is fully documented and receipts are included. The car has a toolkit and original jack. This is chance to own one the most highly restored E types around. This car will be the center of attention in anyone's collection.

This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster was refurbished in 2015, and it is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in cream over red leather, the car is equipped with a black soft top, a removable black hardtop, a soft top boot, enclosed headlights, 15″ wire-spoke steel wheels, power-assisted disc brakes, an AM/FM radio, and a heater. This XKE Series I roadster is now offered in South Carolina by the selling dealer at no reserve with service records and a clean Michigan title.
The Series I E-Types were equipped with covered headlights and taillights mounted above the chrome rear bumpers. This example is finished in cream and was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment in 2015. Additional equipment includes a black soft top, a removable black hardtop, a soft top boot, enclosed headlights, a louvered clamshell hood, dual side mirrors, triple windshield wipers, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes an area of touch-up on the edge of a door jamb along with touched-up blemishes on the hardtop.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with 185R15 91S Coker Classics redline tires that show date codes from 2007. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors. The seller notes failing chrome finish on the center caps.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in red leather along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Interior appointments include lap belts, black vinyl dash trim, a sliding rearview mirror, an AM/FM radio, and a heater.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 42k miles.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque. Service records are included in the sale, which the selling dealer states total approximately $129k in work performed from 1989 through 2015.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a full-synchromesh four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
