Seller's description:
1967 S1 E-TYPE OTS LE MANS TRIBUTE Convertible
Clear Title, Miles 68,000, Engine 4.2LITRE 6 CYL., Transmission 4 Spd Manual, Exterior Color Burgundy, Interior Black Leather, VIN # 1E14066
This is a Le Mans Tribute Car. The car came from a personal collection in Florida, without a spec of rust on a solid vehicle that ran very well.
When Motorcars Incorporated was commissioned to convert the car to a wide body, no expense was spared. The suspension was totally reconstructed in concours fashion and the rear suspension was widened to accommodate the massive, period-correct Dunlop wheels and Avon tires and to fit the original steel RS panel rear fenders fabricated in the U.K. especially for this build.
This car was mounted on a rotisserie and carefully stripped of all finishes before it was refinished in the best of materials and fitted with an original Jaguar hard top. Then, the interior of this car was redone as original.
Today, the car is registered and 100% road worthy, ready for rallies or one heck of a commute to work thanks to the drive train, which starts with a Series 3 XJ6 engine block that has a compression ratio of 9:00 to 1 mated to a Series 3 cylinder head. There are also larger valves and Terrys TP-1 street performance camshafts with all new components. The transmission is a matching number stock gear box and the differential is a 3:54 Positraction unit, all resealed and detailed.
In the current condition and livery, the car has won awards at shows and cause-related rallies. Rest assured, the vinyl numbers on the outstanding Burgundy paint job will slip off in seconds. But the Heritage Certificate and all proper documentation will last forever as will the memories you'll make with this car.
