Just a car nut! This is my second E, had a 70 fhc in the late 70s. Also had an XK6 in the mid 80s. Before Jags there were Austin Healeys. I like 'em all :-) (email)Updated January 7th, 2003. Not legal proof of ownership. |

Owner for 24 years, car has been kept original as much as possible. Is in unrestored condition but the motor, seats, tranny, top, have been redone. It has been painted to very near original OSB. Of course normal maintenance items have been taken care of. The car has 120k miles on it as of 12/16/02.

I see I haven't added anything since '04. Not much has changed in fact. The car and I are still in Naugatuck. Perhaps I should add some history; I bought the car in southern California from a Dr. there, not the original owner (I lived there then) so I know of two previous owners. There may have been more, who knows. I contacted the original owner in '86 who told me he bought the car for his wife and sold it because he thought she was going to kill herself in it :-) He mentioned to me that he had traveled to Chicago to pick up the car. Wish I had asked more questions but that was 20 years ago and those facts weren't as important to me then as they would be now. I find no evidence of him in the phone books now. The car is still very original and I'm defending that with a vengence.

Just an added bit of history. I purchased the car in 1978 from:
Richard Galich, MD, F.A.C.S.
210 Grand Avenue Suite #202
Glendora, California.
I do not know if he purchased it from Dr. Karas but if I recall correctly he mentioned he bought the car in Colorado. The car came with 2 snow tires mounted on painted wires (got rid of those quick). There's no evidence that the car was driven much in snow as there's virtually no rust on the car still after 40 years of age, 29 with me.

Car sold to Massachusetts, underwent partial restoration, bare metal repaint but otherwise the car was not in need of any major repairs.
