Sellers description:
Ecellent condition series 1, 4.2 roadster. This car was purchased in Connecticut in 1998 from an Italian restorer and his son who had rebuilt the car together, drawing on the father's experience from his days at the Alfa Romeo factory in Italy. The car was already mostly original, and care was taken to purchase new old stock parts for any parts they did not have. Such as the lights. Upon sale to me, I shipped the vehicle to London, England where we applied for a license plate from 1967 and a Heritage certificate. The car was serviced by a noted Jaguar restorer and race team engineer. I Full receipts, documented work available upon request. The car is registered with the Jaguar Enthusiast club of Great Britain, and the car has attend several rallies including the Jaguar 50th anniversary at Silverstone. In 2004 the car was shipped to Vancouver British Columbia where it has been serviced at Frasier valley sports cars. It has passed AirCare certification and is licensed for use on the roads. The car in in excellent condition, and could be turned into a concourse car with little extra investment especially because of it's originality. There is no filler. Comes with full original manual. It is available for viewing in Vancouver.

This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster is finished in blue over black leather and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include triple SU carburetors, a black soft top, 15″ wire-spoke wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, chrome trim, bumper overriders, a factory wood-rimmed steering wheel, Smiths instrumentation, and a push-button AM/FM radio. The car was imported to Canada from the US in 2008 where it was acquired by the seller’s late husband in the spring of that year. Work completed in 2022 included adjusting the timing, changing the oil, and replacing the serpentine belts, coolant hoses, fuel filters, and left door hinge. This XKE roadster is offered in Canada with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, service records from March 2022, and British Colombia registration in the seller’s name.

The car left the factory finished in Maroon and was refinished in its current shade of silver blue under prior ownership. Equipment includes bumper overriders, a louvered clamshell hood, polished exhaust outlets, side mirrors, a hood license plate decal, and chrome trim on the bumpers, window surrounds, and light surrounds. The left door hinge was replaced in March 2022, and there is evidence of body filler beneath the driver’s door.

The 15″ wire-spoke knock-off wheels wear Michelin red-line tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs, and a spare wheel is mounted in the trunk. The March 2022 service documents note the both upper ball joints are worn and the left rear wheel bearing is need of replacement.

The bucket seating is trimmed in black leather and accompanied by matching door panels, carpets, and dashboard trim. Equipment includes a center console, rearview mirror, Jaguar-branded floor mats, a passenger grab handle, lap belts for both occupants, and a push-button AM/FM radio.

The factory wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation, a tachometer with an inset clock, and auxiliary gauges showing coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 49k miles, approximately 1,600 of which have been added by the seller’s late husband.

The 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors along with polished aluminum valve covers. Work completed in March 2022 included replacing the serpentine belts, coolant hoses, and fuel filters along with changing the oil. The March 2022 service documents note a rattle occurring at low RPM along with oil seeping from the rear main seal, cam cover gaskets, and oil filter housing.

The cylinder head stamping 7E 9722-9 shown above matches the engine number recorded on the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The differential is seeping oil.

A Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate is included with the sale and lists the engine, gearbox, chassis, and body numbers along with a manufacture date of February 22, 1967.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a province that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on its registration.
