This car has been one family owned since new. Was repainted the original color in the mid 80's
Miles are original

You are looking at a true survivor car. The only non original parts are the radio which was upgraded (believe the original radio is still available, we are checking on that) The drivers seat cushion has been replaced and the suspension has been upgraded. Other than that you are looking a truly original car.

This car runs and drives very well, it has always been taken car of and we just completed a rebuild of the carbs along with a fresh fluid service.

Doesn't leak a drop which is rare on these old cars.

The car shows very well, there are areas that show some light surface rust but there is no rust that has eaten through anywhere.

The car needs nothing and is ready to drive and enjoy.

This numbers matching open headlight, late Series 1 Jaguar E-Type Roadster was built on March 7, 1967 and left the Browns Lane factory in Coventry 13 days later on the 20th. Finished in the Cream over Black with Black soft top specification it carries today, it was originally imported through Max Hoffman's Jaguar Cars of New York before finding its way to its first owner, Hanley Kleeman of Indianapolis, Indiana, on November 21, 1967. Driven sparingly, the car would remain in the same family ownership for 55 years receiving a repaint in the original color in the 1980s, a later radio, a few suspension upgrades, and a new driver's seat cushion -but otherwise remaining much as it left the factory.

Acquired by the present owner early last year, it currently shows just a touch over 36,000 miles on the clock, a figure that is believed to be original. A recent test drive by a Bonhams specialist denotes the car as being a smooth operating and enjoyable machine, accelerating swiftly and snicking through the gears with ease. The twisting roads of the hills in which the drive took place provided a welcome opportunity for the Jag to bare its teeth.

Complete with its original dealer Warranty Card, tool roll and tools, and Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, a lack of space is the only thing prompting its sale to another keeper. A fitting machine to use and enjoy as is or restore to one's liking, either way it is sure to prompt grin-inducing rides in the near future.

This numbers matching 1967 Series 1 E-Type roadster is believed to have only 36,210 original miles. It presents in a truly stunning condition with Old English White paint, a beautiful black soft top, and black leather interior. This car was one of these last Series I's produced, leaving the Browns Lane factory on March 20, 1967. Hanley Kleeman of Indianapolis, Indiana purchased the car new on November 21, 1967 and the Kleeman family owned it for the next 47 years, having the car repainted in the original color in the 1980's and used the car sparingly the entire time. In 2013, the car was purchased from the Kleeman family and prepared to go back on the road with $10,000 being spent in that process. In April of 2014, the car returned to use, then with a total of just more than 35,000 miles. The original owner's manual set with the car's original warranty endorsed to Hanley Kleeman, service vouchers, operating, maintenance and service handbook, etc. has stayed with the car through its 47 years. Now, with basically two owners since new, and a total mileage of 36,210 miles, the car drives beautifully and is ready to afford the next owner with the spirited performance and pleasure which only a Series I XKE Jaguar can provide. It has had a recent full service and detail performed by Classic Showcase, paying special attention to all the little details a new owner will appreciate.
