JAGUAR E-TYPE ROADSTER SERIES ONE 4.2 1966.

Original date of despatch 26th of April 1966 from Henlys Limited , London.

This E-Type is in beautiful , original condition, with great patina and in its original colour; opalescent dark green .A classic rare colour..

This is my own car, which I use whenever I get the chance; as it has more character and is more fun to drive than my Porsche 997 S !!...

It has its' Heritage Certificate , with original chassis number, body number, engine and gearbox numbers, together with all invoices for extensive work carried out at the best restoration specialists,to maitain it in this condition.

New parts and work carried out include: bare metal respray in 1992 with new door skins ,new bonnet , top end engine rebuild , the seats and transmission tunnel were recovered in Connoly leather by Strong and Turton, together with the footwells and space behind the seats, major rebuild of suspension and steering , major brake rebuild , reconditioned SU carbs , 5 new wire wheels and tyres, new dark green hood, uprated brakes,consumable renewals i.e. header tank , hoses,petrol pump, distributor,clutch, servo, Kenlow fan,, etc.. to name but a few of the invoices that come with its extensive history file.

It is extremely original,drives and handles with great precision , having recently had £8000 spent on new parts to make it steer , track and handle , as it did when new.The engine is a peach and starts , runs and revs like new having had a top end rebuild several years ago.This original right hand drive Roadster is in supurb condition ; not concours,but now with great patina ,with matching green leather seats and correct trim and matching green soft top.I have recently purchased a genuine black coloured hardtop , which I wouldnt personally fit , because I dont like them ! but it goes with the car....

In my humble opinion, this E-Type is in one of the best colour combinations , as the newly restored ones in red , yellow , white , etc, look too bright to me........Please see the photos and see what you think !....
