This Series I 4.2 model features the original 4.2-liter engine with three SU carburetors, a fully synchronized four speed transmission, wishbone front suspension with torsion bars and anti-roll bar, independent coil-spring rear suspension with lower wishbones, trailing lower radius arms and anti-roll bar, and four-wheel disc brakes. Also a fully instrumented dashboard with toggle switches, a center console and armrest.

This car is a matching numbers open headlight Series 1 XKE restored to the original specification as indicated by the production record certificate of the Jaguar Heritage Trust.

The engine was rebuilt by Donovan Motorcars in Massachusetts and the transmission and rear axle were done by Kane Motorcar Company Inc. in Rhode Island. Complete with original tools.

Fully restored British Racing Green exterior, saddle leather interior, the original color scheme.

This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster was refurbished in the mid-1990s, and it is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in British Racing Green over Cinnamon, the car is equipped with a black canvas top, enclosed headlights, 15″ wire-spoke steel wheels, power-assisted disc brakes, dual side mirrors, triple windshield wipers, an AM/FM/cassette radio, and a heater. This XKE Series I roadster was acquired by the current owner in 2014 and is now being offered on their behalf by the seller in Minnesota with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, the owner’s manual, service records, a car cover, prior Concours judging sheets, refurbishment photos, and a clean Arkansas title in the name of the current owner’s LLC.

The Series I E-Types were equipped with covered headlights and taillights mounted above the chrome rear bumpers. This example came finished from the factory in British Racing Green and was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment. Additional equipment includes a black canvas top, enclosed headlights, a louvered clamshell hood, wraparound chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, triple windshield wipers, and dual exhaust outlets.

The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with 185/70 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires, which the seller states show 2023 date codes. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.

The cabin features bucket seats that have been reupholstered in Cinnamon along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Interior appointments include lap belts, black vinyl dash trim, a sliding rearview mirror, an AM/FM/cassette radio, and a heater.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 77k miles, approximately 2,300 of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque. The engine was rebuilt in 1995.

Engine block stamping 7E13487-9 is shown above, and a corresponding number is viewable on the cylinder head as well as the copy of the Heritage Trust certificate.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a full-synchromesh four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

A copy of the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate shows the original colors and drivetrain numbers as well as the build and dispatch dates.
