Ebay item 4/28/14
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-convertible-1968-jaguar-xke-convertible-solid-pro ...
Current bid $10,100 reserve not met, 9 bids 6 days left in auction. 43k miles.
Sellers description:
I have collected many items for the xke over the 20 years that I have owned it. I am getting too old now to complete it and can't find the time to work on it. I have all of the parts to put it back together. I have many new items like a black leather interior with new seat foam, carpet kit, panel kit, new amco soft top, and complete seal kit. I have replated or purchase new all of the chrome except for the main bumper bars. I had the 3 carb setup rebuilt but it has never been put back on. This car looks like a series 1 from the outside and a series 2 from the inside. I purchased it off the the 2nd owner. It has 43315 original miles. The floors and outer rockers were shot and they have been repaired with the correct factory panels. I also have a new exhaust system from the header back that came with the car, shocks, rear springs, bearings and many other smal parts to complete this restoration project. The original color is signal red exterior, and black for the interior. I have a very nice set of curly spline wheels and the original set too. The car has been off the road and in storage since 1977. The motor turns free the last time I checked. I have many small and hard to find parts that go with the car as well. It also has an aftermarket hardtop that is in very good condition. The body is solid and I used the best dupont primers and products when I started the restoration. I had the bonnet disassembled and dipped then epoxy primed. The trunk floor is also like new and the tank has been sealed and restored. I have a wilwood conversion for the front brakes with new rotors and new rotors for the rear.
