Good grief Sarajit, I've heard of buying a car in pieces, but not sawn in half!!! Well done Sir!

The car is fitted with a 3.8 engine from a 1961 car. It is being restored for `enthusiastic` driving.

We are proud to offer this great car with a special background. All you E Type enthusiasts will remember Chris Harvey, Fleet Street journalist and author of many motoring books, predominantly Jaguar. Chris' most famous book was 'End of an Era' written not long after the E Type ceased production. Chris owned a few E Types and had a particular passion for them. This particular car was his favourite, owning it until his sudden death in the 1990s. This car is an original UK RHD roadster finished in Red with Black leather interior and black mohair hood.

The original engine blew up on a fast run just outside Paris in the 1980s. Chris then decided to fit his genuine lightened and enhanced 3.8 litre engine which the car retains to this day. Further upgrades include wider competition chrome wire wheels and upgraded front brakes. Featured in 'End of an Era' this is one of the most famous E Types from back in the 1970s and 1980s and Chris attended a lot of events with this car. The car had a full restoration around 15 years ago and still presents superbly. This is a great car with a superb background and must be one of the most competively priced UK RHD roadsters in the market.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
