Ebay item 1/14/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $15,350.00 (Reserve not met), 6 bids, 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1968 Jaguar E-Type open two seater

According to Jaguar Heritage Certicate no 4033 of 1.06.93 this car was manufactured on March 7 1968 and through Jaguar Cars of New York delivered to the first owner of record Mr Corkle, Elizabeth, P.A.
The VIN#1E17203, BODY#4E 9265, Gearbox#KE 353 and the Engine#7E 16393-9 Body Colour: Signal red
The car was purchased from by the current owner from a dealer in Mentor, Ohio in May1988 and although superficially presentable and driveable it was destined for a complete nut and bolt restoration.

The professional restoration was undertaken by Rick Bennett owner of Sports Car Factory,Chardon, Ohio and the engine was rebuilt by Paul Cusato, owner of Cross Country Classics, Cleveland, Ohio.
The ambition was for a restoration to a 100% of originality and as some show results tend to prove this was pretty much achieved.

The restoration was completed in 91 fully documented photo's and reciepts which come with the car.
In 1991 it achieved 99 points in a concours show.
The car has only covered 10,000 miles since then.
It has been here in Florida since 1994 and although regualarly driven is maintained in the best possible condition.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
