Offered here is an early 1968 Jaguar E-ype Series 1.5 finished in the most desirable combination of Opalescent Silver Blue and black interior. It was restored to a very good standard in 1987, which has stood up to the test of time and now offers a very usable E-type. It has been in the same family ownership since 1989 and has been cherished, properly maintained and has all MOT's during that time of ownership.
The steady continuous climb in E-type values, even after the 50th Anniversary 'highwater mark', makes this a very worthwhile investment at a realistic level. The Series 1.5 is also the best driving E-type in our opinion.

Car now offered at:

Seller's description:
1968 Jaguar E-Type
Country United Kingdom Region Hertfordshire
Price £98,000
Stated in the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust chassis number log as the first Series 1. 5 to come off the production line in 1968, this Opalescent Silver Blue with Black interior drophead is available now through our Brokerage service. Last restored to a high standard in 1987, this matching numbers original RHD example has been well maintained by a long-term owner with yearly servicing making it an instantly usable car.
During a 2-year period, the car was entrusted to us for annual services and an objective to keep it as safe and reliable as possible. In this time, we supplied a new set of Dunlop SP Sport Aquajet tyres along with a complete stainless steel exhaust system, and tackled areas of reliability within the cooling, braking and fuel systems. An upgraded CoolCat fan was fitted in order to help with maintaining the correct engine temperature, the brake master cylinder was replaced and the fuel line was replaced with Cunifer pipe and fittings.
The car currently isn't due a full service until April 2024 but, prior to delivery to the new owner we will carry out a final thorough inspection in our workshop.
