Bought in May 2018 as a restoration project. Clearly used as a donor car some time (15 years) ago. Now intent on restoring it using as many original parts as possible - such an early example of the 4.2 deserves no less.

Originally had a Webasto, but have sourced a solid roof to replace existing.
No interior trim at all (although instruments are included).
Will be fitting a 5-speed Getrag gearbox.
Likely (but not 100% certain yet) to return to original colour scheme.
No info re original owner or registration.

Body finished in February 2020, and painted to a high standard by July.

IRS restored and completed October 2020.

Work is now under way (November 2020) to assemble a working car.

Restored with as much originality as possible, except for electronic ignition, uprated fans (radiator and heater box) and uprated front brakes.

Restoration predominantly carried out by Brownings Restoration of Keysoe, Bedfordshire, with additional support from Martin Robey Ltd, SNG Barratt Ltd, Automotive Services Northampton, The Splined Hub Ltd, Kempston Radiators Ltd, Past Parts Ltd and others.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
