Lot 46 at H and H Classic Cars Auction sale at Chateau Impney on 9 December 2015; sold for £54,880. This tidy looking series 1.5 coupe features the popular combination of Red bodywork with Black interior trim and rides on chromed wire wheels. Chassis 1E20730 was supplied new via St Helier Garage, Jersey on the Channel Islands to Mr J P Labesse and carried local Jersey registration J2666.
Imported into the UK mainland in 1975 and registered FRR27C on 24 April 1975. Thousands of pounds have been spent restoring this E Type over the years and the vendor describes the engine as condition 1, bodywork as condition 2, paintwork very good and gearbox and part restored interior as good. The odometer currently records an unwarranted 79,351 miles. With just three registered owners since 1975 the car comes with a history file including restoration invoices, Heritage Certificate and MOT to April 2016.
