A specially built S1 FHC with twin headlights and modified bonnet with louvres on the front wings. It was one of 2 or 3 modified by Abbey Panels and onward supplied by a Jaguar dealer.
Interior fitted with Restall seats.

- Supplied new by P.S. Nicholson Ltd of Forres to Hugh John Vaughan Campbell, the 6th Earl of Cawdor

- Inspired by the similarly bespoke Fixed Head Coupe made for Andrew Douglas Alexander Thomas Bruce, the 11th Earl of Elgin who was president of the RAC and Ecurie Ecosse at the time

- Just three such 'quad headlamp / shark gill' E-Type bonnets are thought to have been fabricated by Abbey Panels with Sir William Lyons giving his blessing to the project

- Accident damaged in 1967 but retained by the Cawdor family until 2003 when it entered the current ownership

- Extensively restored by the vendor and the veteran of numerous rallies. Said to be a 'very good driving car with excellent road holding'

This super rare and historically important Series 1 4.2 Coupe E Type is 1 of just two quad light e-types believed to have been built and possibly the last surviving example, if you want to be different from the crowd this is for you,

The car was specially order by Hugh John Vaughan Campbell, the 6th Earl of Cawdor, and reputedly left Jaguar's Browns Lane factory in November 1965 complete with a balanced and tuned engine, Koni dampers, competition wire wheels, Restall seats and a Webasto sunroof, (on driving the car I can confirm this is a very existing E Type to drive with terrific toque, performance and handling) Its first stop was to Abbey Panels, who were responsible for adding the 'shark gill' louvres on the rear of the front wings and distinctive quad headlamp arrangement, when completed, this very especially rare Jaguar was supplied to Rossleigh of Aberdeen for delivery to his Lordship via local Jaguar agent, P S Nicholson of Forres, history dictates the car was on the road for only 18 months before being damaged and stored on the Earls property until 2005, so the recorded mileage of 25256 is credible, a well-documented car that offers great value today and with continuing interest in the mark should be a sound investment, 

Sparing used in recent years, however now recommissioned and ready for the show and rally season with fresh MOT, although exempt it shows the cars integrity

This is a super sound example with zero rust, however the centre bonnet panel has some blistering due to engine heat, a fairly common problem that’s easily rectified and can be arranged at additional costs, or just left alone as it doesn’t distract from the cars stance
