The builders plat is not there.
Bought the car in 1998 from USA. Had a -65 289 Ford V8 installed with a Ford 4 speed man gearbox.
I've got a very late 4.2 ser.1 block, 7E18196-9 and a very early 2+2 complete engine 7E50412-9 with a big crack in the block. They will merge into one engine. I also have a rebuilt syncro box EJ13697 with the top cover from the 2+2 EJS8063.

Hello Terje,
I remember your name from the Yahoo E-type forum. Surprisingly your E has the same rare black/black colour combination as mine: 1E32930
Please drop me an e-mail on the subject to icon66@xs4all.nl

It's great to see another of the very early 4.2 cars listed. I owned 1E30036 for sixteen years, in southern California, before selling it in 1998. I suspect our cars were built within hours of one another! These cars incorporated many of the details of the last 3.8-liter cars, such as the little storage pockets in the panels behind the seats, as well as the use of moquette (mohair) instead of vinyl on the rear wheel arches. Good luck with your restoration and feel free to email me with any questions or if you just need encouragement!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
