The car was delivered new to a USAF Doctor in early 1965. He sold the car to another USAF serviceman at the same base in Germany. He shipped the car home to Iowa where it was titled 1-3-1966. I bought the car 6-10-2009 with only 27,309 miles since new. It still wears its original lacquer paint and dark blue leather interior. There was a small repair underneath the boot many years ago which was painted with lacquer also.
It has the original spare and still had the Dunlop tires were installed about 1968. The car is the nicest driving e-type I have ever driven and I plan on never selling the car.

Delivered to US Army Capt. K Wieneke at the factory in Coventry then driven to base in Germany. It came to the US in 1966 and remained with the second owner from 1988 to 2009. I purchased the car un-restored in immaculate original condition in January 2015

Typo above. The second owner imported the car to the US in 1966 and owned it until 2009.

***CAR CAN BE SEEN IN SCOTTSDALE DURING AUCTION WEEK. CALL 201-213-2681 Early 1965 4.2 E-Type Coupe Survivor. This car was delivered X-Factory to US Army Doctor Captain Kurt Weineke stationed in Germany. I spoke to him confirming everything stated. He drove the car from the factory to Germany where he spent much time on enthusiastic triple digit jaunts being utterly fascinated with the car. His friend and Army mate, James Lee Stuber was an Army Mechanic and maintained the car for the Doctor. I spoke to him as well. Stuber, also fascinated by the car decided to buy one for himself. When he found out that the export/import tax to the US was so much higher on a new car as opposed to a used car, he asked Weineke if he would sell him his since he was staying in Germany, he could buy another new one. They agreed. Stuber imported the car to the US 1/3/66 with the Iowa Title referencing the German Title. Original Title Included in the sale. Stuber kept the car from 1966 to 2009 when he sold it to a collector in Arizona who swore he would never sell it. I acquired the car in 2012 and it has remained with me just a few miles from where I picked it up. Survivor... Barn find... What's the difference? What's all the hype? A Barn Find is a car that was put away wet, dry or all of the above, hasn't run in decades and could need anything from a mechanical re-fresh to a full on restoration sacrificing the originality. A Survivor is a car that was loved, always maintained as a running and driving automobile and never left to atrophy. Needs were attended to in order to keep it in its Original Form. This car is an "Actual Mileage" Title, Unrestored Survivor. It has its incredible Original Paint, Dated Glass all around, Leather Interior, Carpets, Matching Seat Belts, Matching Numbers, Motor Never Out Of The Car, Working Radio, Original Dunlop Spare with signs of Cosmoline on the wheel, Rare Aeramic Wiper Blades most threw away because it take the dexterity of a surgeon to change the rubber, Shocks, Original Floor pans, Jack, tool Kit and Owners Manual with Pouch. **Being any early 65, it has the curly hub wire wheels and leather shift boot. In gorgeous Opalescent Silver Grey with Dark Blue interior, this car turns the time clock back to 1965 with unmatched Originality, Style and Grace. ***This car retains it's original Data Plate and Chassis Tag never off the car. With 60 Pound of oils pressure, be the next caretaker, maintainer and driver of this timeless beauty. Still Fast and Furious after all these years

This 1965 Jaguar XKE is a Series 1 coupe that was built on March 23, 1965 and purchased in Gzira, Malta. Finished in Opalescent Silver Grey over a Dark Blue interior, the car reportedly was purchased new by a US Army doctor stationed in Germany and soon sold to an Army colleague, who imported the car to Iowa in January 1966 and retained it until 2009. Power comes from a numbers-matching 4.2-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission, and the car was serviced by the selling dealer last year. This XKE is now offered with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate, recent service records, a tool kit, owner’s manual, and a clean California title.
Opalescent Silver Grey is the car’s original shade per the accompanying Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate. The car is equipped with covered headlights, amber taillights, and a single side mirror mounted on the clamshell hood. 15” wire wheels feature two-eared knock-off spinners. A spare tire and a tool kit are included in the trunk.
The interior is trimmed in Dark Blue leather with matching carpets. A set of Porsche-branded floor mats are currently fitted in the footwells.
Equipment includes a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a Becker Europa radio, and Smiths instrumentation. Less than 28,600 miles are shown on the five-digit odometer, of which the selling dealer reportedly has added approximately 200 miles in more than a year of ownership.
The 4.2-liter inline-six is linked with a four-speed synchromesh manual transmission. New engine and transmission mounts were installed last year along with fresh fluids, front ball-joint boots, and tie-rod end boots. An oil change, tuneup, and brake-fluid flush were also performed. Cylinder-head stamping #7E3352-9 matches that listed on the certificate shown below. The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate shows serial numbers for various components and lists the original colors and production date.
