Seller's description:
A true barn find Jag XKE. Its a nice example with the glass headlight covers and the 4.2 ltr motor. We pulled it out of a very nice equipment barn where it had been parked since the mid 80s. Concrete floors and sealed doors kept it well protected from the elements. Taken off the road in 1986 for brake work, it had accumulated a nice thick coat of dust prior to us loading it onto a trailer to bring back to our shop. We took time to complete a wake-up process on the vehicle and now it starts right up. We replaced the fuel tank to make the car street driveable. The brake booster cylinder was stuck so we have bypassed it for braking purposes. The vehicle runs and drives around the neighborhood. I would replace or rebuild the booster unit before putting it on the road fulltime. The vehicle has had work done to the rockers at some point prior to 86 as they have been recovered. The vehicle was repainted at some point, probably when the rockers were done. The interior is complete and in reasonable shape for a 55 year old car. The vehicle comes with some spares that were passed along to us as well as a stainless steel brake line kit. Some of the lines were installed to get the brake system working. And just one of those weird things... The radio and speakers work.
