1966 Jaguar 4.2 Litre E-Type Series 1 FHC (Fixed Head Coupe)

Midnight Blue Exterior with Red Leather interior

Restored in 2004 to Concours condition

This is a car that I've been asked to sell, as it's been in our dealership museum for many years. It was purchased fully restored (by Reginald Ray from Pottstown, PA) in 2004 and has truthfully been driven less than 100 miles in that time. Beautiful, in show car condiiton. It's been parked inside our climate, humidity controlled museum for several years, but it's not being driven so the time has come to sell it. We installed a new battery in it recently (within last 3 months) and it was last serviced approximately one year ago. It starts right up on first try and drives great

Car returns to ebay 6/30/20

www.ebay.com/itm/1966-Jaguar-E-Type-Series-1/264779745374

Car has a buy it now price of $129,900, seller thethrottlestopwi, 34k miles, car now said to be in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, previously Neenah, Wisconsin, 34k miles.

Seller's description:

.      4.2 DOHC Inline-6 Engine with Triple SU Carburetors and Fully-Synchromesh 4-Speed Manual Transmission

·        Restored to JCNA Concours Standards in 2004 by Jaguar Restorations of Limerick, PA

·        Formerly of the Woodhouse Auto Group Collection of Omaha, NE

·        Won Best of Class at the 2012 Road&Track Concours D’ Elegance

·        Excellent Panel Fit and Finish with Stunning English Leather Interior

·        Less Than 2,000 Miles Since Full Restoration

·        A Well-Sorted and Desirable Example in Optimal Specification and Handsome Colors

Often cited as one of the most beautiful cars ever made, the example offered here wears handsome Midnight Blue livery, just like the roadster admitted into the permanent design collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The interior is offset by impeccable red English hides from Suffolk & Turley, a refinished mahogany steering wheel, wool headliner, polished switchgear and original Blaupunkt LMK radio. It wears its correct, chrome knock-off Dunlop wire wheels with Michelin XWX tires.

Sold when new to a Mr. James Angelucci of Norristown, PA, the car was formerly owned by renowned Jaguar expert Reginald Ray who restored the car to JCNA concours standards in 2004 at his shop Jaguar Restorations of Limerick, PA. From there it was purchased by the owner of the Woodhouse Auto Group in Omaha, NE, and held in a private museum, accumulating only 100 miles during that time. In 2012, the current owner acquired the vehicle, accumulating less than 1,900 miles over the last 8 years. The car has been recently serviced and tuned, and is certainly one of the best driving Jaguars we’ve encountered.

Of special note is the exceptional panel fit, paint finish and soft trim which was recognized at its first show outing with a class win at the 2012 Road&Track Concours in Elkhart Lake, WI. The car placed second only to a Pebble Beach-winning Ferrari TDF for Best of Show.

Offered in impeccable condition, with jack, tool roll, spare tire and Jaguar Heritage Certificate, this award-winning Jaguar E-type coupe will not disappoint.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
