Asked questions (engine load calculated based on values from MAP - Manifold Air Pressure sender or MAF - Mass Air Flow meter) about the fuel injection on the car and got the following reply:

MAP system. ECU was developed by XKs Unlimited.

    Sellers description:
Before you is a simply incredible E Type coupe that represents a dedicated team of Jaguar professionals and their efforts to create a real-world Jaguar Supercar.

Starting with a great California "Black Plate" (XYA 728) 1965 E Coupe, the owner hired the renowned Jaguar specalists at XKS Unlimited in California to embark on a no-expense spared high tech XKE. The idea was simple, a vintage XKE that would be reliable, usable, and would be able to run with the best of modern machinery. Countless hours and an impressively large sum of money (well into six figures) later, the car before you emerged from XKS workshop.

While the details are too much to list, here are some of the highlights: Original 4.2L XK motor rebuilt to full race specs including Carillo rods, J&E pistons, race ported head, custom ground billet cams, full balance and blueprint, modified oiling system with competition style oil cooler and "puke tank", complete and fully custom electronic fuel injection with individual throttle bodies and state of the art ECU controls, full stainless steel big bore header and exhaust, heavily modified cooling system with aluminum radiator and high flow cooling fan, Borg-Warner T5Z 5 speed trans with custom selected gear ratios, original rear end with custom 4.11:1 gear set and racing limited slip differential, full road race suspension with custom torsion bars, coil springs, sway bars, bushings, GAZ externally adjustable shocks, fully dialed in and tuned for use on road or track, complete Wilwood front brakes and SIII XKE vented rear brake setup with custom Jaguar calipers, knock-off Minilite wheels with speed rated Michelin tires, GM high-output alternator, mini high-torque starter, and the list goes on!

Perhaps the biggest creature comfort added is masterfully integrated air conditioning along with state of the art sound deadening heat insulation everywhere possible. Nobody ever said the driver had to suffer for driving a "hot" cat! Body modifications were limited to SIII rear flares to clear the bigger tires fitted. Being a life-long California car, this E Type possesses an immaculate rust free body with all original panels and superior fit. It has never been damaged or had a panel replaced - an extremely rare event with any E Type. It is, in fact, also an original black car.

A custom and easily removable four point roll bar was installed for safety, along with full racing harnesses for both driver and passenger.

As we all know, a car has to be more than the sum of its parts. This is one such car. It is a turn-key, hit the button and go road weapon. It handles as good as any modern car, rides surprisingly well, and has a braking system that will throw you through the windscreen if you are not smart about its application. The engine's power is tremendous, with a wide, flat poweband and gobs of torque. The gear ratios were selected perfectly, and along with great acceleration, this car comfortably cruises at 100+ MPH.

With recent sales of "Resto-Mod" Camaros and the like at over $400k per copy, doesn't a discreet and thoroughly engineered hot rod version of one of the most beautiful sports cars ever produced start to look really tempting?
