Ebay item 11/11/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Matching-numbers-two-owner-car-very-original-/2509290923 ...
Current bid $15,100 reserve not met, 5 bids 6 days left in auction. 89k miles. Atlanta, Georgia
Sellers description:
This is a two owner 2 person e-type coupe (not the 2+2) that was with the same family since 1971!
The car had an exterior respray many years ago in its original Primrose yellow and has mainly remained untouched all these years. The chrome is original as is most of the interior. This car has no rust and has never had rust. The original floors are in really nice condition. Of course, it has its original matching numbers engine. Paint is still good for a driver but not up to show standards.
I recently rebuilt the rear brake calipers and rebuilt the carbs. The engine runs good and has great oil pressure (see photo). The clutch release is a little high but there is no shatter or clutch slippage. Gearbox shift very good. It has an modern after market radio, a high capacity radiator cooling fan and an ANSA quad exhaust. It has a several dealer installed options which are period correct ... the bumper bars, window wings, wooden instrument panel cover (sticks over the original vinyl), wooden shift knob and rubber carpet mats. These options were made by AMCO and sold through the USA Jaguar dealers. The window wings can be easily removed as they attach window frame with allen screws and no holes are drilled. I happen to like them but understand some people might prefer not to have them.
There is a lot of interesting documentation with receipts dating back to 1969. In addition it includes many, if not all, the original delivery paperwork such as the original owners manual, dealer network booklet, warranty booklet, plus more. The original purchase invoice is also included!
This is a really honest unrestored e-type for the person that appreciated originally and prefers a car with some patina.
