Sellers description:
Beautiful original condition "survivor" 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I E-type Coupe. The car was originally purchased in Chicago as a gift from three brothers to their mother. She cared for the car and had it hauled on the back of a flatbed trailer annually to the original selling dealer for maintenance. She owned the car until her passing at which time it was left to one of her sons who put it into storage. It remained in storage until the early 90's at which time it was traded to a local dealership where it was quickly snatched up by the owner. He went through the vehicle and has kept it maintained and in his collection ever since. In 2011 alone he replaced the heater core, the heater fan and motor, the thermostat, replaced the brake pads and calipers, and gave the vehicle a complete tune up. The car needs nothing mechanically and runs out great! As you can see from the pictures the original paint still looks good and has developed a beautiful patina. The interior looks fantastic, the fact that it can look this good after 49 years is a testament to the craftsmanship that went into the car as well as the great care that has been shown this Jaguar since it was new. The car rust free and has never been driven in snow or for that matter even been out of the garage in winter. The mileage is actual and shows 15,376 miles on the clock. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have on the XKE. I am listing this vehicle for the owner and have detailed records on its history and all the mechanical work that has been done over the years .

Imported into the United Kingdom from the United States and registered GFX546D in September 2015. Sold by Pendine Historic Cars in January 2018. Seller's description below.
www.pendine.co/portfolio/1966-jaguar-e-type/
Exceptionally original and only 15,500 miles from new. It is now impossible to find low mileage, unrestored E Type's in good condition; this is one of them.
An exceptionally original example with only 15,500 miles showing on the odometer. Leaving the factory in November 1966, it was sold new to Doris E McNeill of Illinois, a gift from her three sons. The original warranty card, dated September 19th 1967, accompanies the history file. She had the car serviced once a year by local Jaguar agents, insisting it was trailered there and back for the work.
Finished in Opalescent Light Maroon, the internal paint, as well as the bulkhead, sub-frame and under bonnet is totally original (you'll see in the pictures the body number written in crayon on the bonnet). Externally the paint is mostly original. The interior is almost completely untouched, the original black leather in excellent condition for a US car. Mechanically it has just had a full engine rebuild by Sigma Engineering, and it drives like a 15,500 miles E Type. The front brakes have been upgraded to ZEUS callipers, but the original Dunlop's accompany the Jaguar. Original handbook (with lovely handwritten notes by Doris), Blaupunkt radio guarantee, tool kit and jack.
Only a small handful are this original and mostly untouched. An E Type for the true collector with an eye for detail and who appreciates the difference between a good car and an exceptional one.
