Car returns to ebay 7/1/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1967-Jaguar-E-type-Coupe-with-4-speed-Seri ...
Current bid $13,100 reserve not met, 15 bids, 5 days left in auction. Car now said to be located in Eugene, Oregon.
Sellers description:
Nice Series 1 E-Type Jaguar two-place coupe. This E-type has the elegant bumpers and lights of the series 1 and all the original unique features. A true two-place coupe fitted with a 4-speed transmission. An E-type 2 place coupe that will be a nice Jag to drive and enjoy
Paint & Body
The panels all appear to be original with no signs of repair. Repainted in a nice maroon color that looks good on the car. The body does not have significant rust issues, however, there are some spots mostly high up on the body that will need to be addressed if it is ever repainted. See the pictures below. All glass is in good condition. The chrome is ok, but could stand to be redone. The rubbers again are ok, but also could stand to be replaced.
Interior
The interior of the E-type is original and in nice well-preserved condition, with a patina that shows nicely. There are no obvious cuts, tears, or damage to the leather. The carpets are in good condition and look well fitted. The dash is in very nice condition, with only slight imperfections. Headliner is good and all trim items are in good serviceable condition.
The Bottom Side
The underside of this Jag is in good condition as can be evidenced in the photos. Chassis and sub frames reasonably rust free and no damage repair. The brake system functions well with no issues.
Engine & Engine Compartment
This is a series I car and the 4.2 liter motor provides plenty of torque and horsepower. Starts easily, runs smooth and quietly from cold. Oil pressure is excellent even when warmed up with freeway driving. Cooling system functions as it should and keeps the engine cool. Transmission feels and sounds good. The car runs and drives smoothly with no abnormal engine noise. This E-Type is a solid and nicely cohesive driving car that is comfortable enough to use as a daily driver.
Summation
A brilliant E-type that looks good, and is fun to drive. Good early E-types are hard to come by and true collectables. The lovely silhouette of the two seat coupes is a classic and can rival even the convertible models for purity and beauty. With 60’s Aston Martin and Maserati prices rising into the outer limits, this is an affordable easily maintained classic that will provide years of driving pleasure.

Car advertised for sale on Carslaes.com.au June 2012. Seller's comments follow: "Delivered in July 67 in the US this car had one owner for the first 30 years (I have a wallet with the delivery and service records till 98 ). It had done 73000 miles then and there's 76000 on the clock now. Imported by V&A Spiteri in 2010, I purchased the car about a year ago and, having just completed a full resto on my other E Type, had thought I'd do another one. So I undertook a whole lot of work with Spiteri with that in mind. This includes the following major items but there's a far more extensive list:
* professional conversion to RHD * new steering rack *new upper and lower ball joints *new hoses *new rubbers *new clutch *new muffler and downpipes *re sleeved master and slave cylinders *new GAZ shockers all round. Rears have adjustable perch. *new Spiteri ventilated front brake system.
This is a great original matching numbers car with a documented history. Paint is very good. Trim is original (save new mats ) and has great patina. Mechanically everthing's been done. She drives well.
