I ended up buying this car and will update the data. As it turns out, this was truely a one owner car that when I inspected it felt as though I had timewarped to September 1967 when the car was first purchased. Car has original owners manuals and literature including air conditioning instructions, etc. Also has original Blaupunkt radio. Most interesting to me was that it had 14 of the original 16 fuses (including spares) that had the original Lucas paper inserts! Car has been resprayed twice in a more eyepleasing maroon versus it's original dull maroon color. I plan on obtaining an Heritage certificate to confirm build dates, serial numbers, etc. but don't really expect any surprises. Only things missing were original jack and tool roll so am looking for replacements. This car was really pampered and is a joy to drive!

The Heritage certificate only specifies an exterior color of "Maroon". while no first owner is listed on the certiicate, I do have the original Passport to Service booklet indicating that the car was sold to Bob Moore Leasing, Inc. located in Wichita, Kansas and shows a delivery date of September 19, 1968. The selling dealer was Continental Motors, Inc. located at 333 S. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67202

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
