According to JHDT chassis number data for 2 + 2 rhd E-types, 1E5001 is stated as 1965 production. For 1966 the data states that there is "no record" of chassis numbers, with a footnote "lower than 1E50021", which is the chassis number of my car .Series 1 1/2 is noted as starting production in 1967/09.I have contacted JHDT for some clarification, but had no reply.Does "no record" mean that there were no cars recorded with chassis numbers below "21" in 1966? If this is so, why are 1E50012 &1E50016 shown as 1966 cars, and why is there a 1968 car with a chassis number 1E1299? Can anyone through some light into my darkness?
