Car listed on EBay:
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Jaguar : XKE
1967 XKE 2+2 original project car
Miles: 44120 Doors: 2 doors
Transmission: Manual Interior: Black
Engine: 6 - Cyl. Year: 1967
VIN Number: 1E75234 Exterior: Black
Vehicle Description: Fully Original and intact 1967 Series I E-Type 2+2 Coupe. One owner with 44,120 original miles. Car was driven for 4 years and then parked so owner could take up racing and touring motorcycles. Car has the usual rust in lower 4 quadrants that has gone through the panels and is also rusted in the drivers floorboard. Floor is mostly gone on drivers side only. This car is complete with all factory installed parts as it came from Jaguar new. It has never been wrecked, damaged, or hit anywhere. The car was simply driven, oil changed by the owner, simple maintenance performed and then parked. Pictures show present condition. This car could be driven with just a little effort. Engine runs well. Due to exterior storage all door seals and rubber has deteriorated. All glass is in very good shape with no cracks or chips. All trim is present with the exception of the radio antenna. The radio does work. Left rear tail light lens is broken. It would be hard to find a more complete and original car to restore with no prior damage. Heater box and fan housing have surface rust as well as the air cleaner and the under side of hood. Hood is in excellent shape.
Vehicle Condition: This car is a very early 2+2 Type I car. It is the 234th one built in the 2+2 configuration for left hand drive American market cars. Exhaust system is intact and original but rusted through in several places under car. Manifold is in very good shape and has the original factory heat shields installed upon the advent of the alternator.

Car returns to ebay 4/13/104
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $5k (Reserve met), 5 bids, 4 days left in auction. Car (this auction) now appears to be located in Ellijay, Georgia, USA
Sellers comment:
1967 Xk-Etype one owner, the good news, all original 4speed with the originl leather, radio, gearshift knob, all five wire wheels, glass head light covers. This car still has the tools wrapped in plastic from the factory! and the orginal Lucas headlights, if you ever wanted an Etype to restore this is the one, numbers matching unmolested car. Now the not so good news, it will need floors, sills, and boot floor, the bonnet is in great shape, as are the doors and the glass, all gauges and instruments work. This car is 99.99% original.

Car returns to ebay 8/8/04
cgi.ebay.com/ws/ebayISAPI.dll
Auction ended at GBP 4,300.00 (Reserve not met) after 8 bids. Auction based in Ludgershall, Wiltshire, UK. Seller also privided engine # 7E 50173-9.
Sellers description:
This car requires restoration and is somewhat of a timewarp unrestored matching number car that I recently re-imported from the USA . I have the US title document and UK customs clearance documentation showing all taxes paid.
By using some fresh fuel I managed to start the engine the engine sounded fine (as much as can be judged with half an exhaust) with good oil pressure. Mechanically the brakes / hydraulics require complete overhaul and the clutch pedal is solid. There is a very good set of 4 wire wheels with / on the car (ignore the horrible one on the car in the photos – that is temp).
The body generally requires restoration though as you can see it is not hanging! Body wise, I would envisage front floors and some sill work, boot floor repair; the rest is cosmetic. The bonus is the bonnet is very good and as the car is relatively untouched and has not been restored, all the lines, door gaps / shuts are very good. The colour is black as it left the factory. The interior is untouched but new headlining and carpets are required and front seat leather. The car is pre-1973 and hence once MOTd the Road Tax is free! Be aware this car requires full restoration. I would expect a serious bidder to view the car to assess first hand the condition. The car is available for viewing at by appointment.
I also can supply parts to convert to RHD such as the dash sides and steering rack at cost separately outside of this auction.
