Sellers description:
1968 Jaguar XKE 2+2. Has early Ford small block. Car is automatic with air. I bought this car about 10 years ago, it did run and was in decent shape. It has been stored in a garage with concrete floors. Car needs complete floors and rocker. Front bonnet is decent, has rot in lower splash pan. Car is complete, original except for the motor. Has factory radio, interior, etc. Glass is good except windshield. Also has extra rear bumper spears which are not rotted. New left door skin and a couple of decent chrome wheels from another Jag I had.

Can't be a 68. It is only 16 cars after a confirmed April 66 build date car (1E 75339)

Actually, looking at the bonnet and dashboard / ashtray fitments, it may well be a 68 but then the chassis number is wrong, since the number does tally with a 66. We have a vehicle/number mismatch. BEWARE.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
