Sellers description:
In 1988 my husband and I, while living in Arizona, found this really cool 1966 Jaguar XKE car. It was beautiful on the outside with a new bonnet (per the the owner), boxes of jaguar parts, and 4 new tires. Even though this car was taken apart and in the midst of being refurbished (there are 2 brown spots of primer on the car - it was like this when we bought it - not sure why) we had the grand idea of buying it and putting it back together. Our friend had a car just like this and we wanted one too. To be well informed shoppers we had someone that was very familiar with XKE's go through all of the parts and they said that 99% of the parts were there so we decided to make the purchase with the plans to restore it, even though we knew nothing about Jaguars. We stored the Jaguar in the garage and there it sat, and sat, and sat.
In 1995, due to job changes, we had to move to California and we needed to decide what to do with the Jag. We are originally from Michigan and we hoped to move back "home" someday, so we decided to load it up on a trailer and take it to Michigan. We put it in our storage garage there and there it sat until now. After all these years we decided that we are never going to restore it and it is time to get rid of it and make room in the garage and let someone be able to restore it to its original condition and get it back out on the road.
