Vehicle Description

This is 1966 Jaguar XKE Series I, 2+2, 4.2 liter with 6 cylinder engine that is a nice car for restoration. A recent barn find this car is complete is most respects. The car has three carburetor engine with automatic transmission and it comes with wire wheels. The chassis of the car is strong and solid - though there are a few rust spots. The body is very rusty and will need attention – the floor boards of the car are rusted through. The bottom of the trunk below the spare tire is also rusted through. The interior is complete and in fair condition. In fact the interior is all original and complete. The engine of the car is also complete and it turns over. The odometer shows 26,000 miles which may be the true mileage of the car. The chrome on the car appears to be complete and in fair condition. The car still has the original tool kit, original jack and comes with a spare wire wheel. Overall the car is a very good candidate for a restoration. Please note that the hood of the car was lost in transportation so the car is now available only without a hood. The car is mostly complete and will make a great car to restore for a Jaguar lover. More pictures are available. I can ship worldwide.
Please note - given the age and uniqueness of this car all sales are final. Please feel free to ask me any number of questions and also please feel free to ask for more pictures. You are also welcome to come and inspect the car for yourself. (The car is standing in College Point NY 11356.) However since this car is very old I possibly cannot check each and every item on the car. As such the car is strictly sold on as-is basis and all sales are final.

Winning bidder must pay a $500 deposit within 48 hours of close of auction. I only accept US bank checks and wire transfers. I reserve the right to end the auction early without notice. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. Ashish 646-734-6221

It appears the bonnet was removed from the car for resale. In the current market (8/07), it is worth far more than the rest of the car combined.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
