Sellers description:
This rust free, numbers matching, Jaguar E-type was purchased by a central Florida Doctor on May 11th, 1994 with 11,076 actual miles. Always garague kept & car covered. It was his dream car. From June 17th to July 16th 1994 he had the following work performed, Alternator replaced, all cooling hoses & coolant replaced, carburators rebuilt, brake calipers rebuilt with brass sleved housings, brake pads replaced, brake master cylinder rebuilt & silicone fluid, new windscreen washer assembly. The good Dr. passed away last June having driven it just over one thousand miles in 13 years. He also owned an XK8 convertable as a daily driver. I acquired it last week from his son & have done the normal things a car setting unused for a time would need. Drained & flushed the fuel system, replaced the jets in the carburators, replaced the battery, bled the brakes & clutch. Freshend the front wheel cylinders. Cleaned & polished the exterior. Before the Doctor purchased this car it had been repainted in the original Claret or Opalescent Maroon. The paint is holding up very well with no sighns of rust anywhere. The only body work I noticed is the front of the driver side sill, where the battery resides, looks to have been replaced. Only noticable because it is seam welded, not spot welded. Floors are solid with just minor serface rust showing under drivers side floor carpet. New Bartlet carpet set, new clutch master cylinder, new fuel tank & fuel pump. New exhaust system. The cylinder head has been resurfaced, but I don't have any information on what engine work was done before the the good Doctor bought the car. The paint on the passenger side looks to be a little thin before & after the door. The leather interior looks great for it's age. The front suspension bushing & steering, look great, as you would expect from a low milage car. Car drives out fine & shifts well. All electrics are currently working. I have the original Fl. title that was issued in 1994, showing odometer actual mileage. Headliner is very nice but the sun visors are drooping. All glass is good. Chrome is nice as you would expect from a well taken care of car.
