Numbers matching Series 1 Jaguar Etype 2+2 Coupe..I have checked the numbers and the head matches the ID tag as does the number on the frame rail..covered headlight , tri carb motor.

Mechanically the car is in very goon order, new front brakes and suspension,. also a new front exhaust section was fitted, upon inspection I noticed a hole in the rear exhaust muffler so I would recoment that to be replaced..the car runs and drives just as it should, starts up with excellent oil pressure, remains at 35 to 40 when hot, car runs cool with no overheating issues..brakes ,,lights..etc all function fine

The body of the car is also in very good condition for an original car...the car was repainted in its original color a numver of years ago and still shows very well..there are a few very small paint bubbles on the lower driver sider if the bonnett. Under the car is in good shape, the boot / trunk showes very slight surface rust..the floors have some rust towards the front where it meets the firewall, not all that bad but it is there ... this car came from Florida in 2002 and has only been in New England for 10 years, it was always garaged .

The car has all of its original triplex glass and it is in good condition, the chrome showes some pitting but will clean up to a very respectable level..

Interior is very nice...the seats show no wear whatsoever, new carpets in the front, the side pieces are original and need replacing... headliner is also original and very nice...dash is also very nice, all gauges are complete with just the cigar lighter missing, original radio functions fine.. rev counter is not working

The car shows just 36,000 miles, the speedo is working but I cannot validate the correct miles ...the car is in overall very good condition and can be used and enjoyed just as it is.

This 1966 Jaguar XKE 2+2 is a Series I example that reportedly spent time in Florida and New Hampshire before being acquired by the seller in 2014 as a running project. The car is finished in blue over dark blue leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes triple SU carburetors, a stainless steel exhaust system, 15″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a Blaupunkt push-button AM/FM radio. Work performed under current ownership is said to have involved refurbishing the carburetors and brake booster assembly, replacing the radiator, cooling fan, intake manifold, brake primary cylinder, and oil filter housing in addition to fitting an electronic ignition system, oil cooler, and upgraded starter. The brake system is inoperable, and further service is required before the car can be roadworthy. This XKE Series I 4.2 is offered with handwritten service notes, miscellaneous spare parts, and a clean Georgia title that lists the car as a 1967 model year.

The car is finished in blue, and the driver’s door is believed to have been repainted under prior ownership. Exterior details include recessed headlights with clear covers, fender-mounted mirrors, split chrome-finished bumpers, a louvered hood, and taillights mounted above the rear bumper. Bubbles in the paint are present below the right headlight, corrosion can be seen on various trim pieces, paint chips are visible on the passenger door, and rust has perforated the driver-side rocker panel. A hole from a previously installed antenna is located on the right-rear fender.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels are secured via two-earned knockoffs and mounted with a mixture of older 185-series tires. The four-wheel disc brake system is inoperable, and work performed under current ownership reportedly involved refurbishing the brake booster assembly in addition to replacing the master cylinder. Corrosion is visible on the wheel surfaces.

The 2+2 cabin features front low-back bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black leather along with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and center console. Appointments include a heater, a passenger grab handle, wind-up windows, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM push-button stereo. The carpets are torn in multiple places, wear is visible on the center console, and rust is noted on the floorboards.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation that is in need of refurbishment and consists of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset analog clock. Auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 37k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six features dual overhead camshafts as well as triple SU carburetors and produced 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque when new. Work performed under current ownership is said to have involved refurbishing the carburetors, replacing the oil filter housing, and intake manifold in addition to fitting an aluminum radiator, a larger cooling fan, an electronic ignition system, an upgraded starter, and an oil cooler. The oil was changed in July 2022.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Borg Warner three-speed automatic transmission. A stainless steel exhaust system has been installed.

The car’s frame stamping displays serial number 1E75800BW, which is consistent with a 1966 XKE 4.2 2+2. The Georgia title lists the car as a 1967 model year.
