A picture is worth a 1000 words, but with me you get both! As an instructor at a community College I have trouble keeping any description short. The pictures were taken at night in my garage. I borrowed the camera so I had to take the pictures when I had the camera. The car is a bit dusty and feel like a goof taking pics of a dirty car. But this is Toledo, Ohio - IN JANUARY! If I washed the car prior to the pictures the car would be under two inches of ice and I would be at the hospital with sever frostbite and hypothermia. So you get dusty car pics. The bonnet is not latched in the pics, it shuts just fine - I have a charger on the battery and did not shut it all the way (cutting the charger wire). I tried to take pics of the car on the right side but I could not back up far enough to get them in focus. The car is in equal condition on both sides.
ABOUT THE CAR FOR SALE: I purchased the car when I was about 19 for too much. I am a perfectionist to the highest degree. I have been told that I am so anal-retentive that I expel fiber optic cable from my rump. I have gutted the car, pulled the engine, removed anything that even looked like rust, replace every body part with new parts from Welsh Jag, painted the car the correct Green for 1966 (Yes the headlight buckets are the correct silver), rebuilt the engine, rebuilt the breaks, redipped the bumpers, replaced all rubber seals (doors / bonnet / all of it). The car has about 2KM on the rebuilt engine. I have a new G. W. Bartlett interior in their boxes and bags. I have almost a complete second bonnet, some of the removed rusty parts, and the old interior stored in brand new garbage cans.
* Year: 1966 (True Series I)
* Model: E-type (2+2)
* Color: Correct Green for 1966
* Interior: Correct Brown for 1966 and the correct interior color for that color paint
* Engine: 4.2 L - Triple SU carbs - Manual Transmission
WHAT THE CAR STILL NEEDS: The car has strait pipes on it currently, it will need the exhaust to be done correctly. The interior kit needs to be installed. Small chrome needs to be reinstalled. A tune up would be nice (the car is starting to sit and it may need a new battery).
If you are going for a show car you may wish to touch up a couple of paint chips *NO DENTS* (the last repair guy was not so loving to the car as I am). A show car would also require you to replace the chrome wheels, get the correct Dunlop tires, and re-porcelain the exhaust manifolds
