Ebay item 9/27/06

Opening bid $18,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 9 days left in auction. Note, the VIN indicates 2+2, yet the car is a coupe.

Sellers description:
This E type is a good driver example of the most popular E type models, the 4.2 4 speed 2 seater coupe. This car is not restored, but an original car that has had a cheap paint job. It looks decent, but really needs a cosmetic restoration. It has had over $5,000 spend on mechanicals and brakes in the last few months and runs and drives great. It needs tires and has a shimmy at over 35 mph. The interior is original and the leather seats have a good patina. Really it is a good original car that needs cosmetics.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
